Limelife.com:
Kyle Richards chats one-on-one with LimeLife about the drama Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans can expect to unfold when the highly-antcipated second season begins on September 5. (Which is only 34 days away, but who's counting?)
When the second season promo trailer hit the Internet last week, viewers couldn't believe how much scandal was packed into the tiny clip, but Richards says it doesn't hold a candle to what the network could have used to promote the new episodes.
"That doesn't even put a dent in it," she said at a press mixer for NBCUniversal's Fall TV Lineup last night. "I was thinking, of all of the things they could have pulled -- they used the mild stuff. I guess they didn't want to overwhelm everyone." Wow. Really?
With all of the Beverly Hills Housewives in attendance at the soiree, we couldn't help but wonder how relationships between the castmates have been holding up since the shocking finale of the first season.
"There's been a lot of shift in the dynamic," admits Richards. "I've gotten to know the girls even better. Some of them at the beginning I knew better than others. Now we all know each other inside and out but the dynamics do shift throughout the season. People that you would be surprised to side with and not speaking and going back and forth. That's definitely prevalent this season."
While it's mostly controversy on the menu for these ladies, the Demi Moore look-a-like says that there will occasionally be lighter fare for fans to enjoy, just don't expect much of it.
"There are some fun things that we do -- some events and traveling and stuff that was fun to do," she says. "Other than that, it's a lot of drama and very emotional. It's very deep. These are not frivolous little problems we're talking about."
