India clinched the first Women's Kabaddi World Cup Championship 2012:
India won the first women's Kabaddi World Cup championship title, against Iran 25-19 in the final match at Patlipura sports complex at Kankerbagh in Patna on Sunday.
Japan secured third rank while Thiland came fourth in the championship. Earlier in the day, India defeated Japan 60-21 to enter the final while Iran beaten Thailand 46-26 to make it to the final.
Later Presentation - Indian captain Mamata Pujari said this all happened, because of team spirit.
"All of us combined together and played very well to lift the Kabaddi world cup for the country. I congratulate all my team members,"
